Press Wheels

Moose Industries single press wheel assemblies are designed to be mounted across the rear of the machine. Since the first set of press wheels were manufactured in 2001, the design has changed little.

Some small improvements and extra features have been added as part of our continual improvement, with simplicity, effectiveness and being user friendly being key criteria in the design process.

The single press wheel is designed to work in conjunction with our adjustable mounting arm, which adds even more flexibility to your seeding options.

Main Features

SELF TRACKING – With each wheel being independent of the others, a higher degree of accuracy is obtained. One wheel per tyne, allows for truer tracking (especially when cornering), and better control over downward wheel pressure.
ADJUSTABLE PRESSURE - Individual tension springs, allow you to control and adjust pressure on each wheel individually.

BUSHED PIVOTS - Both vertical and horizontal pivots have been bushed with hard wearing, self lubricating nylon bushes, which mean no greasing!

AXLE BEARINGS – Holden stub and bearing assembly, which is heavy duty for this application, with the added benefit of easy to source parts should the unlikely occur.
INTERCHANGEABLE STUB – 40mm diameter stub axles are locked into a bush, to allow for quick change-over of axle/wheel assemblies.

COMPACT AND EASY TO FIT - The compact nature of each unit, makes them easy to fit. Each module is attached to a 75mm x 75mm square mounting beam, and with only one u-bolt, sideways adjustment (to get true alignment with tyne) is a simple process

LOCK-OUT PIN - Allows you to quickly and easily pin each wheel up out of the way, if not required, or for transport.

WHEEL PROFILES – A variety of profiles are available, to suit your individual needs, as well as the options of solid, semi-solid and semi-pneumatic rubber compounds.
